Group B: the infamous era of rally racing that was short lived in the 1980’s. The cars were fast, the fans were crazy, the driving was exciting and the rules were few. Introduced in 1982, the Group B regulations allowed for the most technologically advanced and outrageously powerful rally cars to compete against each other. Cars like the Audi Quattro, Lancia 037 and Ford RS200 were created specifically to compete in Group B. It was the extreme nature of these machines that led to the end of the series in 1987.
